March 2008

This month's cover photo is the Patos Island Lighthouse in Puget Sound, Washington. This station was originally established as a fog signal station in 1898. It is now within Patos Island State Park. The Bureau of Land Management recently took over the island. A new group, Keepers of the Patos Light, has recently been formed to restore the light station. For more info go to www.PatosLight.org. Photograph by Tammy Wolfe of Lake Elmo, Minnesota.
