The entire California Light Station in Aruba as it appears today. The lighthouse was named for the vessel California that was owned by the West India Company and Pacific Steamship Company; it was shipwrecked in the area in 1891. The lighthouse is sometimes referred to as the California Point Lighthouse and is also known as the Noordwestpunt Lighthouse.
