Anna Monteiro Brans is with her father, Charles R. Monteiro in Seattle, circa 1940. The Monteiro family served 75 years combined over three generations through a variety of lighthouse assignments from district superintendent and lighthouse tender captain to district chief engineer, social worker, and lighthouse docent. John R. Monteiro, Charles R. Monteiro, and Anna Monteiro Brans gave many years of faithful service, even though it resulted in personal tragedy and sacrifice for the family.
