This family snap-shot taken at the Welch homestead at Van Wie’s Point, shows both Warren Welch (far left) and his son Frank Welch (far right) in c. 1912. When Warren died in 1930 after 20 years as the Van Wie’s Point lamplighter, Frank took over for a few years before the light was automated sometime prior to 1935. (Courtesy of Al Weaver)
