Photo Caption:

The Moloka’i Light was originally just a red lens-lantern hoisted on a 34’ mast until the tower shown here under construction was established in 1909 with a second order clamshell lens. At 132-feet tall the Molokai’i Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in the Hawaiian Islands. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
