Sarah Thomas takes a minute to pose in front of the new Point Wilson Lighthouse c. 1915. After William retired in 1925 at the age of 70, he and Sarah moved to Seattle where they could be close to their oldest daughter, Edna Thomas McPhee. William passed away on June 26, 1932 at the Marine hospital in Port Townsend at the age of 77. Sarah outlived him by 20 years, passing away in 1952 at the age of 85.
