Nauset Lighthouse Station as it appeared after the tower was moved in 1923 from Chatham Light Station where it had been one of the twin lights at that location. Notice the old vehicle at the bottom of the photo. In 1940, the top portion of the tower was painted red to provide its distinctive daymark appearance. (U.S. Coast Guard photo)
