Photo Caption:

During Walter White’s time from 1916 to 1920, the Point Arguello Lighthouse reservation had a detached tower next to the fog signal building, a head keeper’s single dwelling, and a duplex shared by two assistants, Walter and 1st assistant Arthur A. Newhall. This photo was likely taken from climbing the Navy radio tower close-by. (Courtesy of Betty Westby)
