The Duluth Harbor South Breakwater Inner Lighthouse as it appeared in 1935. The government offered to give the lighthouse away for free to any qualified applicant. When none came forward, the General Services Administration sold the lighthouse in 2008 at auction for $31,000. (Lighthouse Digest archives Coast Guard photo.)
