The 1950 census sheet filled out by Helen Leslie Mabbott for the Farallon Islands on March 28, 1950. Note that only thirteen individuals were originally recorded. The names of Betty J. Daniels and her daughter Colleen, who were away in Washington, were added later. Interestingly, the name of Thomas Riley, who was being interviewed at the lighthouse, is missing. His name along with OIC Raymond L. Newton is found on a sheet for a different enumeration district. (Photograph courtesy National Archives)
