Thorpe Landscapes of Wilmington and Asheville, North Carolina have nearly completed replacing all of the historic pathways as well as new, wide visitor walkways. The areas that have been sand and grass for the past few decades were extremely worn and trampled, so new earth and native grasses have been planted that, when completed, will discourage visitors from moving off the paths.
