Buildings below are part of cable and winch system for retrieving/dispatching mail and other items to/from boat when conditions prevent landing. The station’s lawn tractor was sent out for warranty repairs via the cable and winch system. Smooth open water in background is approach toward Tofino (to the right, out of picture).
