The historic lighthouse at the entrance of the Black River channel in South Haven, Michigan received a fresh coat of paint in June 2023. The lighthouse is maintained by the Historical Association of South Haven (HASH) with support from the City of South Haven.
The lighthouse underwent a major restoration in 2017. The portholes were put back after the original ones had deteriorated. New portholes made a big difference in restoring the authentic, original look of the light. For more info on the lighthouse, you can visit southhavenlight.org
