Notes: The 1844 lighthouse was raised in height from 45 feet in 1893. The Titanic did her initial sea trials near here. The Irish Landmark Trust is becoming involved in the preservation of this station. Tower Height: 130 Height of Focal Plane: 120 Characteristic and Range: Two quick white flashes every 7.5 seconds, also auxiliary light (focal plane 45 feet) with flash every 3 seconds, white and red sectors. Description of Tower: Conical tower with black and yellow bands.
