Cape Race is located near the Irish Loop Road on the Avon Peninsula. An unpaved road (12.5 miles) from Portugal Cove South takes you to Cape Race. The lighthouse and interpretive center (recreation of a Marconi wireless station) are open in summer from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with tours led by students.
