The 1891 wood frame tower at Devils Island Light Station in Wisconsin was built as a temporary tower until the permanent Devils Island Lighthouse could be built. However, it stood for ten years. The lantern room and the Fresnel lens from this temporary tower was subsequently installed at Michigan’s Crisp Point Lighthouse and first shown its light from its new location on May 5, 1904.
