This vintage post card image produced between 1915 and 1930 shows that Nobska Point Lighthouse in Massachusetts has always been popular with tourists. Nobska Lighthouse was automated in 1985 and is now Coast Guard housing. It is possible to visit the lighthouse every day of the year; however, the tower is only open for tours a few days per year. The Nobska Point Lighthouse Station shown here was built in 1876 to replace an earlier lighthouse that had been built in 1829.
