Under the American Flag stands the model of Minot’s Ledge Lighthouse and to the left of the first order lens just behind the pedestal, the Fowey Rocks Lighthouse model can be seen on display at the 1898 Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition. Both of these models had been previously exhibited at the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893 and would continue to be shown at World’s Fairs through the next couple of decades.
