The 1933/34 Century of Progress International Exhibition in Chicago was the last known time the famous 1841 first order Fresnel lens from the Navesink Lighthouse in Highlands, New Jersey was displayed at a World’s Fair. This was the first Fresnel lens used in America and, unfortunately, vanished after being exhibited in Chicago. Its whereabouts is still a mystery today.
