Dorothy Russell of Everett, Washington sent in this old magazine ad from the February 1926 issue of National Geographic.

The ad, in making its sales pitch, shows a lighthouse keeper at a remote lighthouse and says, “There is no loneliness where there is a Radiola.”

If you have an antique magazine ad that uses a lighthouses to promote a product that you’d like to share with us you can mail it to Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630.

This story appeared in the November 2003 edition of Lighthouse Digest Magazine.
